- Alexis Aguilar
Alexis’ website was easy to navigate and I was able to click on everything, especially the images so that I could have it take up my whole screen. One thing that I can nitpick is that I feel the “Welcome” page should have work that is finished and more captivating, it’s clear that what’s on there is a work in progress, but for now I feel that something with color could make it pop more. What I did enjoy is that everything is clickable, I was able to look at everything; even the artist’s name takes you back to the home page which I feel may be a bit excessive. As I skimmed through the ‘About’ section there are headings at the bottom of it where you may not need that information; I am referencing “Home – Storyboards – Character Design – Backgrounds – About Me – Contact.” Whatever was listed is already there at the top heading of the website. I enjoyed that there was a mini description for each image that was clickable. Overall the website is well structured already.
- Carole Page
To begin, the portfolio seems quite serious aesthetic wise. Something that I feel is unnecessary is that there are separate pages from “Carole Page” and “About” where I feel what’s in the ‘About’ section should be relayed to the “Carole Page” section. There is also an underlined section where if I hover my mouse over it would make it seem like it’s a link; however that’s not the case and in fact does nothing. Overall I was able to view the videos and character art which I thoroughly enjoyed, however I do wish that there was a bit more description for the characters other than them just being from an animation class. Something that I’ve also wished I could do was click on the images so that they could be zoomed in. All the posts were separated and had respective information and were also aligned similarly with one another which I think is a nice harmonious touch.
- Isaac Lee
As I first clicked on the link there was already a slideshow of Isaac’s artwork with his username which I thought was quite unique so that it gives you a feel for what’s to be expected from the portfolio. I liked that the layout was similar to each of the links that I was able to click on while providing finished illustrations, backgrounds, and animations; I do think it’d be great if I could click on the illustrations as they are small on screen to see every detail within the artpiece. I feel that the page that had the least amount of information is the “About” section, I feel that the information laid out in the page could be moved around so that it doesn’t have an awkward block of empty space above the self portrait and biography. I’m unsure if what’s listed in the “About” section is supposed to make you click on the words to take you to the other posts so that bit is confusing. In general I do like this portfolio plenty as it’s fun to navigate and is mostly organized.
- Gabriel Nunez
https://www.gabenunez.art/portfolio
This is such a colorful and fun portfolio to look at as it shows already the mixed media that the artist dabbles in. Unlike the “Gabriel Nunez” section, I was unable to zoom in on the work when it was next to its description so I feel that it would be more effective if I could look at it better while having the information to the side so I can look at both. I liked that the headings are in the middle of the page, and when you scroll down in the main home page there will also be other links to take the viewer there so that you don’t need to scroll back up. Something picky from me personally is that ‘Conceptual Artist’ floating there in the middle and not being aligned with anything else bothers me, I feel that if it was removed then it would make the portfolio easier to look at.
